12 participating teams will be divided into two groups of 6 each and will play in League-cum Knock Out Format. Top 2 teams from each group will make it to the Semi finals on 9th September, the winner of which will battle it out for the ultimate glory.
Winner of the Tournament will take home a prize money of Rs. 45 Lakhs where as the runners up will be richer by Rs. 20 Lakhs. The losing Semi-Finalist will get Rs.5 Lakhs.
This is how the Pool for 128th Durand Cup stands
DSK Shivajians, Aizawl FC, Neroca FC, Real Kashmir FC, Minerva AFC and Gangtok Himalayan SC will be making their first appearance in the tournament, while 4 teams from Indian Armed Forces, namely, Indian Navy, Army Red, Army Green and Indian Air Force will get direct entry to the main event.
