East Bengal FC
finally have their 4th foreigner for 2016/16 season of Hero I-League. The
Kolkata based club has signed Ghanaian Striker Bright Lukeman as their 4th
foreigner. Lukeman's team mate in Ebusa Dwarfs, Richard Gadze, played for ISL
side Delhi Dynamos in the recently concluded Hero Indian Super League Season 2.
Lukeman previously
represented Cape Coast based Club, Ebusa Dwarfs in Ghananian Division League
One and scored 29 goals in 30 outings. Division League One is the 2nd Division
in Ghana's Football Pyramid.
East Bengal's
foreign players department is now complete as Lukeman joins veterans Rant
Martins, Bello Rassaq and latest sensation in Kolkata Football, South Korean,
Do Dong Hyun.
Rumour Mills have
been grinding for past few months as East Bengal's search for the elusive
fourth foreigner continued. Names of many foreign players playing in ISL were
being linked with the Club. Bruno Pellisari, Antonio German, Leo Moura were a
few whose names were doing rounds.
Bright Lukeman
will join East Bengal only in Jaunuary, as visa issues are still being taken
care off for his arrival in India.
With the team
almost complete, Gaffer, Biswajit Bhattacharjee's aim would be to go all guns
blazing to win I-League,which is the only trophy missing in the Trophy
Cabinet of the historic club.
